Information Night

Every August the LMAA holds an Information Night.

Our aim is to secure speakers who can provide information regarding the health of Lake Manitou, environmental issues that affect Manitoulin Island, or other areas of interest to our membership.

We typically have two key note speakers, as well as updates from other organizations such as Manitoulin Streams.

This year the event will be held on Tuesday, August 20th at 7 pm at the Sandfield Schoolhouse Hall. The event usually runs 2 to 2.5 hours.

We are happy to announce that we will have a presentation from FOCA (Federation of Ontario Cottagers Associations). Michelle Lewin, Manager of Communications and Development, will provide an overview of FOCA and how organizations such as LMAA benefit from our membership.

Our Second speaker is Victoria Cranston, Fish Culture Technician with the Blue Jay Creek Fish Culture Station in Tehkummah.  She will provide an overview of the fish hatcher.

Please HOLD THE DATE in your calendar.

We always have an enjoyable evening with time to mingle afterwards.
