The Manitoulin Phragmites Project was started to control Invasive Phragmites (Canada's worst invasive plant) across all of the Manitoulin Region. Now in the 8th year of the project, how is the battle going? How does one tackle such a tough plant? What does this invasive do to shores and wetlands? Is Invasive Phragmites affecting Lake Manitou? Judith Jones, coordinator of the Project, will answer these questions, explain what people need to know about Phragmites, and show us pictures of damage as well as successful eradication here on Manitoulin Island.
